Voices of Africa: July 30

July 17, 2017 by msrad

Sunday, July 30 9am mass – Voices of Africa is a newly formed choir within the African Ministry of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Choir is very much part of African Catholic liturgies, and when a choir master from Senegal became available in the Milwaukee area, the desire to unite and sing became a reality. St. Margaret Mary parish was the first to welcome Voices of Africa, where the group rehearses. Members of the choir include catholic nuns from east Africa, members from Cameroun, Senegal, Uganda, Nigeria, Togo, and the list goes on, singing in African languages and English. The choir is growing and evangelizing by reaching out to many congregations and sharing a very rich African culture and diversity.  St. Therese is proud to have them sing on Sunday, July 30 at the 9am mass.
