Good Friday Stations of the Cross with the Pope

Fr. Joe has sent the following note and information below regarding Stations of the Cross with the Pope:

Dear Friends,

I encourage you to join Pope Francis on Good Friday for the Stations of the Cross. It is a very unique and beautiful one touching our human reality. Find some convenient time for you on Good Friday. May the Passion, death and resurrection of Jesus bring us New Life and Hope in this time of uncertainty.

Prayers and Blessings.

Fr. Joe.

This year, the meditations for the Stations of the Cross that will be led by Pope Francis on Good Friday come to us in the voices of prisoners, a family affected by a murder, a mother and a daughter of prisoners, a volunteer religious brother, a priest who was accused and then acquitted after many years and others.

The meditations on the Passion of Christ were organized and prepared by the chaplains at “Due Palazzi” House of Detention in Padua, Italy.

The text of these powerful meditations are online at here, as well as a video link if you want to accompany Pope Francis on Good Friday. He will lead the Way of the Cross at 9 p.m. (Rome time; 3 p.m. eastern) in front of St. Peter’s Basilica.
