All parishioners and their families are invited to join the Catechesis Team and the Green Team in a Mini-Retreat on Sunday, October 8th. We will gather at Havenwoods State Forest and Park for a picnic lunch and then spend about two hours outdoors observing and enjoying God’s creation in this special place in the heart of the city of Milwaukee. Join us after Mass on February 28th and March 6th for a light breakfast and time to reflect on Pope Francis’s Encyclical, “Laudato Si”. We will look at how climate change is affecting the world around us,  study the social injustices directly related to the pollution of our environment, and we will consider how we can accept the challenge which Pope Francis has given us, as Catholics.

Guest presenters are Michael Arney on February 28th, and Cheryl Nenn on March 6th.

Both presentations begin after Mass at 10:15am in Heck Hall. See you there!

During March, the St. Therese Green Team will be hosting a series of workshops to enable parishioners to become more active in leading a “sustainable” life. Learn how to shed carbon pounds and then act on those methods as part of your Lenten journey this year. The workshops are March 1, March 8, March 15, and March 22 at 7:00pm-8:30pm in Miriam’s Corner. Mike Arney  of “Green Neighbor” will be our coordinator. Contact Elterine (Dusty) at jankowe@sainttheresemilwaukee.org or phone 414-771-2500 X15 to register.
