Spring is just around the corner. Joining the Lawn Crew can be a very rewarding Ministry. Having a clean well kept property lets our local community and passers by know that Saint Therese cares about being an active part of the local landscape. For example; Last year Saint Therese had the good fortune of being neighborly by lending our lawn to be the practice site for the Special Olympics from Wauwatosa. Having the lawn well cared for by our volunteers helped to make this possible. We would very much like to do this again with your help and a few hours of your time we can accomplish great things. You can be a good neighbor by volunteering 3hrs one weekend per month to help cut & trim the lawn both Here and at the Parish house . For more details Please contact Building Services via the web site, email or phone.
Our very own Lee McGraw has been selected as the Wisconsin Special Olympic Athlete of the Year! Lee, who has been a member at St. Therese for many years, also serves as an usher during the weekend masses. He will be awarded with the honor at the Special Olympics Wisconsin 2010 Volunteer Awards Recognition Program on August 1st.
For more information about his Special Olympics participation, check out this article on wauwatosanow.com.
Congratulations, Lee! St. Therese is proud of you!
