Poverty in Milwaukee is at record levels. More than 14% of Milwaukee residents live at or below the poverty level and 1 out of 3 children grow up without the money to meet their basic needs. On Sunday, October 12, 2008 St. Therese had a contingent of walkers for the annual CROP Walk to help stop hunger. It was beautiful warm day and fun was had by all. Look for us next year as we attempt to increase from 42 walkers to ?????

St Therese parish is invited to meet the challenge. We have set a goal of 50 members to join the walk against hunger. We will collect food to be donated to Second Harvest on Sunday, October 12th, that the walkers will transport to Veterans Park at the Milwaukee Lakefront.
