St. Blaise Blessing of the Throats

On Sunday, February 4th we will have the Blessing of the Throats in honor of St. Blaise. St. Blaise, Bishop and Martyr, was a physician that saved the life of a young boy who was choking from a fish bone in his throat. This blessing is an occasion to pray for healing of all illnesses but especially those that affect the throat. 

This will be in lieu of our normal Anointing of the Sick that weekend. At the end of Mass, please line up in the center aisle if you wish to receive the blessing. The children and catechists in our catechesis program will go first so they can head to class. All are welcome to participate in this blessing.
